I try not to judge people I don't know, you know certain celebrities and the like. Obviously, I don't know them and anything they do could very well be carefully planned out or taken out of context or exaggerated. But I can think of 2 or 3 celebs that I have definitely formed a strong opinion about. The first is Oprah, wow, does that woman like herself or what? I had my suspicions, you know with the “I can help you be a better person” nonsense. (I never intentionally watched her show but I sometimes accidentally caught snippets and couldn’t look away, you know like the train wreck thing.) But the final straw was the holiday issue of her magazine “O” (for Oprah!). I always thought it hilarious that she seemed to be on every cover of every bloody issue, I mean come on! But now, she’s not only on the same cover once, not even twice…but three times! And in small print on the bottom of the cover it says, turn the page for a surprise and OMG more Oprah, there must be about fifty of her! I actually laughed out loud and I’m sure the lady in the line behind me at the supermarket thought I was crazy! So it’s official…Oprah is a narcissist. I’m sure it’s no surprise to most of you but like I said I try to give most the benefit of the doubt.
Number 2 is Nikki Sixx, used to be crushing on that man when he was younger. Bought all the albums and the books. Right up until I read the Heroin Diaries and bought the Sixx A.M cd. Wow, that boy can whine! Whatever though, still thought he was hottish. But then realized when I read the liner notes, he mentions his biological kids and thanks them, but I didn’t see it anywhere where he mentions his stepson, whom he raised for about 10 years while he was married to the boys mom. Ten years!!! From the time the little guy was 4 years old, I think. What kind of nasty ass ignores a child he practically raised? Not that he’s up for father of the year or anything anyway but that’s just cruel. So that was the last thing Sixx related that I spent money on and I wish I could send it all back and get my money back from him. I hate to think that I supported him in even a tiny way. And BTW, that hair is looking more and more like a hairpiece all the time!
There’s a third that I’m currently in the process of judging but I’m not quite done yet so I think I’ll save him for another time.
